APPLICABLE FEDERAL STATUTES
18 U.S.C. § 1716 (G) (2) (1-4) provides, in summary:
Switchblade (automatic) knives can be shipped to civilian and armed forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the federal government ordering or procuring or purchasing such knives in connection with activities of the Federal government; to supply or procurement officers in the National Guard, the Air National Guard or militia of the state or territory of the District of Columbia ordering, procuring or purchasing such knives in connections with the activities of such organizations; to supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any state or territory of any county, city or other political subdivision of a state or territory ordering, procuring or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of such government.
15 U.S.C. § 1244 provides, in summary:
Knives can be shipped by common carrier; that sale, transportation or distribution, possession or introduction into interstate commerce of switchblade knives is authorized if it is pursuant to a contract with the armed forces; or, any member or employee thereof acting in the performance of his or her duty may possess switchblade knives and may have them shipped to him and sold to him or her. The possession and transportation upon his or her person of a switchblade knife or a blade 3 inches or less is authorized to any handicapped individual who has the use of only one arm.

Scheduling Assistant (PT)
Opportunity
Kai USA Ltd., manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, has an immediate opening for a part-time Scheduling Assistant.
Responsibilities
The Scheduling Assistant works closely with the Sales Team to maintain and update the sales forecast and associated documents.
Other duties include:
- Overseeing and releasing schedules for the Packaging Department
- Reviewing previous day's completed packaging jobs and releasing completed jobs to Inventory
- Compiling and distributing Product Availability Report to Customer Service Representatives
- Tracking, analyzing, and distributing Inventory Reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the Sales Support Team
- Completing special projects and ad-hoc analyses as requested; this often requires manipulation and effective presentation of large datasets as well as the application of statistical alalysis in order to understand operational results and sales trends

Key Requirements / Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- 1-3 years of related experience and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years prior experience in an analytics-focused role
Successful applicants will:
- Have MS Office skills with advanced use of MS Excel
- Have exceptional analysis, problem solving, reporting, and organizational skills
- Have experience in procedure development, process improvement, and/or developing Quality Assurance programs
- Have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Have basic mathematical skills, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and common sense reasoning and problem solving abilities
- Master Scheduling or Planning experience is a plus
Hours: Monday-Friday; 5 hours per day (your choice of morning or afternoon)
Wages: $18.00-$19.00 per hour DOE
