Shipping Supervisor

Opportunity

It's been a very productive year, so we're looking for great talent to join our team. Kai USA Ltd., manufacturer of Kershaw Knives and Zero Tolerance Knives in Tualatin, Oregon, is currently looking for a Shipping Supervisor. The Shipping Supervisor will be assisting in the primary responsibilities below and enjoying a great, team-oriented atmosphere.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

The Shipping Supervisor will:

  • Manage the shipping team in day-to-day activities, identifying work procedures, preparing work schedules, and expediting workflow
  • Communicate and work with managers from other departments on a regular basis to coordinate production and shipping schedules
  • Coordinate with external vendors
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Enter data into ERP system
  • Report damages and discrepancies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility and duty satisfactorily. The requirements and qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • A high school diploma/GED
  • Previous experience in high-volume 3rd-party shipping services (UPS, FedEx, USPS and other LTL carriers)
  • 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of logistics experience in a shipping or warehouse atmosphere environment
  • Previous experience training and motivating staff
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience using ERP or other inventory management software is strongly preferred
  • The ability to work within Microsoft Office to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively and professionally

Hours:

Day Shift: Monday - Friday; 6:00 am - 2:30 pm 

Wage: $27-29/hour, DOE
